This Throat is a project by singer, writer and multi-instrumentalist Síle Ní Dhubhghaill. Her debut EP, I Sent It Away To Die, is an exploration of love and loss, written and composed during lockdown and at a time of great personal change. The songs are confessional and confrontational, both world-weary and quietly furious. The recording is minimal and spare, to reflect the solitary nature of the time in which they were composed and to express the loneliness contained therein. Ní Dhubhghaill comes from a classical music background, and this is referenced in her music.

The entire EP features the artist alone on piano and vocals and was recorded over the course of a day in Drylane Studio in Limerick.
